The writing in this book was so good. There was so much love written into this book I found myself feeling ALL the feels. Compared to book 1 the writing had some changes, but they were good ones. The Sun Child was 10000% had more spice than The Crow Lord. In fact, there was A LOT of spice tbh, but I am not complaining. To include THAT many spicy scenes in a book and be able to write them in a way that doesnβt seem repetitive and his hot EVERY time is a true skill.

Although the characters from The Crow Lord were all featured in this book, Iβd say most of The Sun Child revolved around Ambrose and Lila. Which I loved. We got to explore their love story more and watch it grow and evolve and that was something I looked forward to after finishing book one.
We did meet Nostros in this book who i absolutely adored as well but Iβll let you guys read it so you can develop your own love for him π

This book was an excellent sequel to The Crow Lord. I mean reading about Lila going from the meek abused human and starting to find her strength in that book to being a COMPLETE FIERCE BADA** WOMAN who snatched her power right tf back was such a fun ride. I have always rooted for her. This book was slow to medium paced until the end and it really picked up and got crazy. I really had so much fun with this and I cannot wait to see what Julie has in store next.
