4.5. This was both a creative remix and faithful adaptation of the main plot points of Northanger Abbey (one of Austen’s underrated novels and a fave of mine). And the ending was much more … positive than Austen - more characters got a redemption arch. However….. half a point off for the SO MUCH TRAUMA. And also for one of the characters inexcusable behavior being waved off as “I had to, because patriarchy”. But it was cute and overall.
