The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey

5.0

The love story between the married couple in this book is full of the burdens of a long relationship. Having been married for twenty years myself, watching the things this couple don't say to each other is just as realistic as the things they do say.

The mystery of The Snow Child centers around a little girl who seems to have been formed out of snow. All of the twists and turns that follow, kept me trying to figure out if the snow girl was a real person or not.

The story takes place on the frontier of Alaska and Eowyn Ivey does a fantastic job of making that world as bleak and desperate as I imagine it must have been.
The only thing I don't like about the book is the end. No Spoilers Here! But that doesn't stop me from reading it once a year.
