This was really cute! I loved the forced proximity and secret history between Drew and Lacey—it was very “Invisible String” coded. I felt like they had some genuine personal depth which made their relationship growth really sweet. I enjoyed how they began to support each other as they grew closer and closer. Drew really was such a sweetie and while Lacey could be frustrating with her trust issues, I felt like she got some good closure overall. Much of the story did hinge on the “secret identity” bit. I thought it was reasonable that Lacey’s identity as Drew’s producer’s daughter remained secret, but I really don’t think that it would be possible to hide being a former pop star in real life. Drew seemed pretty adept at dodging these encounters, but if I were Lacey, I feel like I would have picked up on something so fast but do understand that the whole “no personal details” gig was her idea. Overall this was so sweet and fun, and I loved how these two fell in love and supported each other through their highs and lows. I’m looking forward to the next book(s) in the series!!
