We Want to Do More Than Survive: Abolitionist Teaching and the Pursuit of Educational Freedom by Bettina L. Love

5.0

This book makes you want to burn it all down and reimagine education—which is exactly what Dr. Love intended. It is inspiring, convicting, beautiful, and of course, educational. There is no “fluff.” Every word has impact. While aimed at educators, this book is for all those affected by the U.S. educational system—so everyone. I encourage parents and community members to read this book, but this is a required reading for educators, especially white educators.
