Everyone should read this book. Heartbreaking and beautiful, the story of Aminata Diallo is one we all need to hear. Lawrence Hill does a wonderful job of weaving history into his fictional account of the life of a woman stolen from Africa at the age of 11; he brings history to life with great skill, and it really makes you think. I enjoyed the read immensely.
