"That's how I want to be loved - big and crazy. Because that's how I love."
What a sweet discovery. After seeing this book around various platforms, I finally decided to give it a go. And I loved it! Reading this was such a great time and I'm intrigued enough to read all the other books in the series as well as the other series taking place in the same 'universe'.
Ignite highlights the importance of letting go of fear, the strength of family but also the significance of (re)discovering oneself. Both Dex and Winnie find themselves in their individual crossroad, having to make decisions that could impact their lives. We witness how fear can hold one back from taking risks which could potentially lead to happiness, how terrifying letting go can be, and how sometimes you find the right people who come into your life and bring their light along. Watching Winnie and Dex fall in love was a beautiful sight. Two people who deserve happiness and who are constantly trying to do better by others and deserve to put themselves first for a change.
Dex's daughters were the highlight for sure. I don't think I often read about single dads so this was a refreshing read and I found it done well too. Those two angels made everything funnier and even more wholesome.
"You ignited a fire in me I couldn't put out."
Maybe reading this will make you too believe in the existence of a wonderful happy ever after.
