I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to read this book for what feels like years (and maybe literally is years). I really don’t know what made it so hard to pick up and stick with this book at first but I think it’s clear it was just a case of wrong timing because I ended up loving this so much!!! Every book seems to want to tout itself as being Gilmore Girlsesque lately but this is the first that has inadvertently delivered that cozy autumn/winter feeling for me. I appreciated the minimal world building/explanation of The Rules and absolutely loved the way the magic was described in this world. Perfect gentle witchy read for Halloween. FFO house in the cerulean sea for SURE.
