I was really anxious reading this series, after hearing so much about it and how emotional it was, especially this one. I thought maybe people were over exaggerating or, perhaps, I would be one of the few that wasn't as affected. Well, maybe that's what I was hoping at least.
I should have just heeded their warnings and trusted my anxiety and had that been it. Because what they say is true. What you've heard? It's true. It's all true.
Never has a book made me cry so much. From page twenty onward it was just a tear-fest. The last hundred I was an absolute mess. I'm talking tiny sobs with a snotty nose and tear tracks that would make Smoky Robinson proud.
And still-- the story is so well thought out, the characters so well fleshed, the writing so filled with emotion and beautifully complex description. And that's part of why I became so emotional. It felt so very, very real. And I loved every second of the pain even if I complained about it.
