I absolutely loved everything about this book. I need a sweet romance through the holiday after being in a dark romance binge.
Storee was a quirky little mess and I loved her for it. She hated the cold, but she suffered through it for her Aunt. The Kringle contest was icing on the cake and brought up memories of her past disastrous participation in the towns events. The contest forced her to be near Cole and had them butting heads in the most hilarious ways.
Poor Cole! He lost his parents so young and at Christmas no less. No wonder he had some Grinch-like tendencies. Then you add in Storee’s dismissal of him during that time was even worse. His distaste for her was understandable, but a misunderstanding.
When they finally talk to each other on the fateful trip to make candy canes, their relationship was just Hallmark level cute. I enjoyed the secrecy of the relationship, keeping a secret from Tarren. Speaking of Tarren, she just irked the crap out of me. Seriously, mind your own damned business!
I would love to see an adaptation of this in December! 🤞🏻
