Penny just keeps getting better and better. I used to think I wanted to space reading these out, but the way this one ended on a cliffhanger had me reaching for book #9 immediately. I loved the setting at the abbey, the monks, and the vow of silence. The way Penny dove into the chants and singing…I felt transported and I loved it so much. The tension between Gamache and Beaviour has me on the edge of my seat!
