If one good thing has come out of this disaster of a pandemic for me, it’s that I was introduced to the works of Mhairi McFarlane. What’s not to love about this book? I spent the first fourth of the book completely torn to shreds for Laurie; I felt her heartbreak and loss, then - later - anger, and finally acceptance. I loved going on this journey of love and healing with her and never wanted her story to end. I can’t believe I didn’t even know who Mhairi McFarlane was a week ago! Can’t wait to read more of her works in the future.
