I had seen this book recommended several times and decided to see if this lived up to the hype. It does. In spades.
This is book 1 in a potential 5 book series with book 2 being released this year. It was a perfect blend of fantasy, romance/tension and action that never left me bored. The pacing was well balanced, the plot was interesting and kept me on my toes trying to guess (wrongly I might add) at what was coming next.
Our main characters Oraya & Raihn are everything you could possibly want. They are unapologetic, flawed and brave. I just wish we could have had duel POV (hopefully that may come in the next books?).
The ending had twists upon twists which I loved and leaves you with enough intrigue as to where the story could go next. Overall, a fantastic beginning to a series with a lot of potential.
