It took me way too long to notice that this series was available on KU - I've had these books on my wishlist for so long! I haven't read anything by Ana Huang before but I've only seen good things online about the Twisted series.
Twisted Love is the first book in a 4-part series with Ava and Alex, who I was rooting for straight away, I loved their dynamic together. There are a lot of 'typical booktok' tropes used, grumpy x sunshine (literally Sunshine, Ava's nickname given to her by Alex) and brother's best-friend. For me personally I did enjoy Ava's character a lot more than Alex's character and at times he just came across as too possessive and toxic.
There was a half-baked plot that kept me decently intrigued, which was on the side lines to the romance, just as I expected that it wouldn't be ground-breaking. The spicy scenes were enjoyable and definitely improved the book.
There were some personal deal-breakers in the book that unfortunately led me to give this book a 3-star rating, instead of the 4 stars I intended to give the book. However I did enjoy my time reading Twisted Love and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
