Love Redesigned by Lauren Asher
4.0
4 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“I missed out on a chance to make you mine before, but I don’t plan on making the same mistake again.”
Love Redesigned is a small-town romance featuring childhood friends who get another shot at love and I absolutely adored it!
You will swoon, you will laugh, and you may get a tad emotional as the characters also grapple with mental health and grief.
Dahlia and Julian's chemistry was splendid! They saw each other as rivals so that added some delicious tension and fun banter, and they were childhood friends so they were familiar with one another enough to easily read the other person, they also had something blossoming when they were in college but came to an abrupt stop due to a tragic event—so they were left years later musing with "what could have been" when Dahlia returned to her hometown and the sparks reignited once more between them.
The Muñoz and Lopez families are such a treat! I love fun and bonded family dynamics and their interactions were top-tier comedy.
I think the book was a bit longer than it needed to be but it's still enjoyable and I highly recommend it for readers looking to read a second-chance romance with delicious spice and witty banter.
Content warning: there are a few triggers in the book that deal with grief, anxiety, deat* of loved ones, medical condition relating to genetics, mention of miscarriage (not FMC).
