I'm a big fan of Madeline Miller's other works especially for the way she writes. The premise was also interesting, and she does justify herself in the acknowledgement. I was waiting for poetry, not expecting much plot from such a short text and it fell kind of flat. It didn't linger with me after I read certain passages and I just didn't connect with the story which I should have been able to do even though it's extremely short. I wouldn't recommend, and would advise someone to pick up her fully fleshed other novels.
