A Very Easy Death by Simone de Beauvoir

4.0

Okay first of all, for entire book I was thinking “uh, I wouldn’t want to fight to hard. Just let me die.”
If I have a daughter like Poupette, I’d whoop her ass for making me live so long, endure so much pain.

But what actually bothered me, is it even legal, to lie to the patient and tell them you are going for an x-ray, while you are gonna perform a surgery? Bc that sounded very bad, and if someone decides he doesn’t want a surgery, just dont. Why they lied to her? That was disgusting. Even if one of her daughters had legal right to decide (what happens when elderly person is decided to not be capable of making decisions for themselves), then still, for what?

I rounded it up, but I’d say my rating is 3.5/5
