this book was different (in a great way) from the previous ones of the series in that it had the height of the plot start halfway through the book rather than at the last 1/4 or 1/5 of the book. there was a lot going on with the darke. it was also very enjoyable to get more POVs than just septimus, jenna, and nicko. sad that it’s the 6th book out of 7, but excited to see the end of septimus and his family’s adventures.
