As I began reading I thought how this was such beautiful, soothing writing. It begins in a woods and much happens there. Fantasy is not a favorite genre, but I was fascinated with the story throughout. I liked how it all developed in a short book. There are powerful characters richly developed. I'm eager to read the second book. (This book is not really much to do with Romance or LGBQT, though it touches on it and is important to the story.)
