Lord of Chaos by Robert Jordan

3.0

So little action and so much maneuvering and waiting and posturing. The first 5 books are vastly better than this one.

The part at the end where Rand is shielded and put in a chest was a nice counterpoint to all the grand, unstoppable things he typically does with the Power. Having asha’man come in and save him was similarly balancing.

I like Mat’s Band and Perrin’s Two Rivers army, combined with his wolves. The Aiel are starting to get tiresomely unstoppable and with the Shaido obliterated, I hope others will show their mettle in battle to match them.
