My favorite part of any book I love is falling madly in love with the characters. Chambers wrote a whole world full of fascinating, complex characters. Even the ones you hate are intriguing and you want to know more. For the majority of the book there is not so much a plot other than trying to make their way across the galaxy. As they trek you learn more about each character on the ship. The relationships evolve in touching and unexpected ways. As a reader you ask a lot of questions about what love looks like and what your own biases are the more you learn about the characters.
