this is just such a five-star comfort series. everything about it is kind of childish and fun while at the same time providing commentary for genuinely important issues like government corruption, betrayal, relationships, grief, etc. i do think shannon goes...errr...a little overboard sometimes. like, she puts a whole lot on her plate. I'm not really sure how the hell she's going to manage to end this series in one more book, but I guess I'll have to wait.
