Fate of Water and Wind by Lashell Rain
1.0
Summary:
"Fate of Fire and Wind" is set in a realm where Earth Dryads, Skye Elves, Water & Fire Fae "bend" the elements of their nations. One hundred years after a bloody battle was lost, the Fire Fae of Ember rules the lands in tyranny. After a fateful encounter, the "Peacebringer" is named who is the single force capable of yielding all four elements and destined to bring peace to the lands.
On the run since the end of the war, Emelyn, a Water Fae, has been hiding her best friend, Ace, the last of the Skye Elves, hunted out of the belief the next "Peacebringer" would hail from the Skye Elves. Eme and Ace find themselves at the heart of the rebellion and are hunted by the scarred Prince of the Fire Fae.
Review:
I received this book as an ARC, and overall the story was rushed and contained several plot elements that did not add value to the story. Some of the romance scenes were redundant and the book should include a trigger warning about an attempted assault of the female main character by a group of fire fae. The parallels between the plot of this book and the "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and "The Legend of Korra" are extensive and I didn't enjoy the many similarities.
