A Quiet Life by Ethan Joella

3.0

This is one of those “do no harm” novels. It’s a novel that doesn’t require anything of the reader except your presence and your willingness to continue reading. It’s a quick, make you feel good, enjoyable read.

This is the story of three people who are each experiencing great loss (no spoilers). The author takes his time with these individual stories. Each character getting their own chapters, each chapter exploring a bit more of each character’s story. Then, once we are properly introduced to these three characters, the author slowly starts to weave these people’s lives together.

“A Quiet Life” is the perfect vacation book or curl up on the couch book. While the story is a bit predictable, it’s still an enjoyable read.
