One of the most interesting and thought provoking books I have read. You never know the main character's name. Very interesting writing. It is based in Stockholm, Sweden. The man works in a video store and leads a simple life. He receives an invoice from the National Bureaucratic Agency. He keeps calling the hotline to find out why his is so high. Keeps talking to a certain lady. How much would you pay for a memory or the steps of your life? The man sees everything in such a positive way that his bill keeps increasing. Short fun read that keeps you turning the pages to find out why and how can he pay the invoice. Loved it!
