Now I see why everybody keeps raving about N.K. Jemisin... her writing is incredible. She made this story feel so incredibly real. Eventhough this is a fantasy, it will stay with me for a long time. Jemisin didn't shy away from brutal topics and I appreciate that a lot about her, even though it hit hard at times.
