Thorough chronicle of the 90's independent film scene, but after awhile it felt like one Harvey Weinstein tirade after another. The author writes in that annoying, clipped syntax used in Variety, puts words in other people's mouths, and obviously has an ax to grind w/ Robert Redford. Kinda made me nostalgic for movies like Pulp Fiction, that come out of nowhere and get everybody talking.
