A Jinn woman collects the pomegranate seeds of the dead every morning to tell their story. She has a young daughter. The daughter's dad took his life to get her back from his father who wanted to "protect" the daughter from the Jinn.
Much more to it than that but it's hard to summarize! Enjoyable though and I met the author.
