still not sure what star rating to give this book. set in N Ireland during the troubles, this book was painful to read. A lot of death and alcoholism, definitely not a lighter take on the violence like in the tv show, “Derry Girls” (not to say it is light, but the show chooses to show only small bits of the violence juxtaposed with the girls experiences). i cried at the end, i truly felt for Culsha and all she had been through.
