Like always, Frey Barker delivers a beautiful, second chance romance with the perfect amount of angst that will have you emotional [especially if you read it on your PMS, like I did ;)]

Tax and Rafe were the almost forever for each other; when they met each other - for Rafe was dating her sister; and had gotten her pregnant. So even with their feelings for each other, nothing could ever happen.

So Taz left to work with Doctors Without Borders and Rafe settled into wedded bliss with his wife and Taz’s sister, Nicky.

It’s years later, and Taz is back when Nicky receives a diagnosis that gives her little time to live - and she knows she will be coming back to not only fractured relations with her family, but also to the one man who has never ever left her heart, but who is also forbidden to her.

I adore anything Freya Barker writes
- her romances are genuine, realistic and emotional in a way I never quite expected, especially from sort of a “forbidden” romance.

Definitely recommended, especially if you want to connect with a mature characters who understand the basic need of communication and mutual respect in a relationship.
