Love with a Chance of Drowning by Torre DeRoche

4.0

This is memoir about how love can push you outside of your comfort zone, but also about the importance of choosing to listen to your intuition. Think Wild but less emotionally raw and also a love story. Torre is afraid of the ocean, and decides to sail across the Pacific with a Argentinian one night stand turned boyfriend. It is inspiring to see Torre take on something that she is so afraid of and watching her grow in the process.
SpoilerIt's also really inspiring to see her go through so much growth to find herself more connected to herself. It takes a lot of courage to walk away from a goal and from a loved one. To me, walking away from Amazing Grace is more inspiring than deciding to sail it.
Overall, a really enjoyable read. Would definitely recommend as a summer read or good travel book.
