I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson

5.0

I was deeply moved by how close NoahandJude were in this story. I have to admit that I preferred Noah in the first part of the story and then ended up preferring Jude in the latter part of the story.

I loved this book for three main reasons, one, we don’t always have it all figured out at the start and we don’t always have the whole story. Two, patience is the key. Be patient with the characters, you’ll learn to love them soon enough. Be patient with the story, you’ll figure it out soon. Three, all the metaphors and whatnot actually played a bigger part in the end but it’s better that I don’t get too much into detail here.

There have been a mix o both positive and negative reviews for this book but trust me that you might want to just dive into this book and not trust the reviews too much (we are all different people / different people = different readers).

I consider this book as one of the “deep” books in YA for all the metaphors and other meanings but this is a definite read for YA as well as contemporary readers.

A not love story that will make you feel all the different types of love. ❤️❤️
