The only reason I started reading this book was because I had nothing else to do, or read, at the time. To me the word, 'cheezy' was stamped all over the front cover and I can't stand sappy romances, so I put this off for a long while.
But I couldn't believe how much this book proved me wrong! I loved Anne's courage and her ability to do what was right regardless of society's opinions and rules. There was nothing sappy about it.
