Africa Is Not A Country: Breaking Stereotypes of Modern Africa by Dipo Faloyin

challenging informative reflective fast-paced

5.0

Wow!!  All the stars!  I loved this book - it was a glimpse into the past, present and future of many of the diverse nations in Africa.  I was fascinated by the chapter detailing how the country borders were decided by the 'white men in khakis', I laughed out loud during the chapter about Africa in the movies, and I took notes through the chapter about Africa in the media and the role of white saviorism.  This book is fantastic, and I'll be thinking about it for awhile.  I listened to the audiobook, narrated by Dipo Faloyin himself, and I could listen to him all day.  All the stars for the narration as well.
