This is such a 'for the boys book' and reflects the year that it was published if not when it was written. The only actual female character is killed to further one of the male leads to action, how surprising. The female character has no personality outside of being in love with one of the boys and it gets justifies by the type of fae she is. Oh and if you want uncomfortable conversations between an adult character and a child we have that too, of which involved joking about sex. Yeah, I read the whole thing and while some environmental work was good, the characters were bland to put it kindly.
