Pumpkin Pies & Potions by Polly Holmes

4.0

I enjoyed this book about witches. A murder and finding out who did the killing. Had me stumped for awhile. Lots of emotions and descriptions. The author is a great writer. I'll read more by her. Jordie, a shape shifter, Harriet found out she's a new witch, and Evelyn a witch still being trained by her aunt Edie. Who has raised her since her parents died. Serious stuff and comedy stuff. Tyler is her other best friend who had been away for a few years and returns looking handsome and muscles and helps with solving the murder. All ends on Halloween. Aunt Edie owns the Melting Pot cafe and lots of witch stuff happens there. Spells, like protective amulet, a drink that will freeze you for a bit, and other potions. Can't forget Detective Huxton who Aunt Edie and him had a thing before he came back to investigate the murder at the bank. Read it, a fun and interesting book.
