This was my first book from this author and I loved it so much, surely one of the best books I've read this year.
A few considerations:

It's a little long but it didn't seem like that at all; the reading was vey pleasant and there weren't dull or stagnant parts.

The grief was handled beautifully: Liam and Theo bond over their broken hearts and help each other healing slowly, without rushing their relationship or making grand gestures.
Of course, some parts are very sad and they broke my heart especially because Liam and Theo didn't get to meet two beautiful people. But the sadness starts fading, just little by little until the memories of their loved one will be still painful but both Liam and Theo will be able to keep that devastating hurt away.

Liam's sexual awakening was also good: his attraction for Theo was well integrated in the story and it didn't come out of the blue.

The small town vibe was amazing, so many good people over there. Theo is so loved by his community and Liam was welcomed immediatley! The families are awesome too and I adored Theo's grandfather (not to mention is nephew Mason who's the cutest little guy ever!).

The setting: so beautiful! I just want to move to Nova Scotia and stay there forever.

Lastly, the Gaelic... gahh! Liam's sweet talking is on another level!

I would have loved an extended epilogue more far in the future because I'm absolutly not ready to let these people go.
I think the stories of this series are not going to be intertwined with each other, but I beg the author to still give us glimpses of Liam and Theo's life together.

I received an ARC from the author and this is my honest review.
