Of Roses and Rituals by S.L. Prater

3.0

I really enjoyed the writing of this book, it was witty and fun. The author really portrayed the characters nicely and made them feel human (no pun intended), I liked to see the characters grow together and also find each other throughout the book.

But I have some mixed feelings. The problems that came up in the book was resolved too quickly for my liking, I would’ve loved to see it take some more time before matters were resolved.

What I did love was the banter between the two main characters, it was fun and so well written. But maybe it should’ve taken some more time before the banter stopped? A part of me felt like the romance was a bit rushed.

I also wish that we’d gotten more information about Elias curse and the demons as well as the world that they love in but at the same time I understand that this wasn’t the main focus in the story.

All in all this book was worth reading and the author’s way of writing was great! I’d like to read something more of her in the future.

I received an advance review copy from Booksirens for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
