I loved what this book talked about and said, I think it is very important and seeing it in a widely loved fantasy is amazing. This book discusses British colonization and using other cultures for their own purpose and gain with total lack of respect to it. 

As a reader though I am just not as into fantasy as I used to be and did not fall as much into this world as I would have if I read it 5 years ago. My rating is not for the overall book, that would easily be 5 stars for what it is and the writing but instead for my own enjoyment of it. This is not a favorite book of mine but I know why it is so many others and deserves the spotlight it has.
