The Magician was just as enjoyable for me as the first book in the series. It's not often that I find a series that I am willing to dedicate myself to, but The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel has my complete attention.

The Magician, like its predecessor, is probably more 3.5 stars for me than 4 stars, but unable to give half stars I rounded the total up because The Magician is a caliber above my 3 star rated books. I look forward to seeing where the series goes.
