Wow!!! What a book! My heart hurt throughout. Lexi, a 15 year old girl is always angry, so angry that her fiery outbursts at school and at home have been getting out of control.

I'm debating between 4 and 5 stars because the ending I feel is unrealistic, and it seems like a somewhat failed attempt to comfort and settle the reader's uncomfortable emotions. On the other hand the ending could be seen perhaps as a strong point in an overall message of hope, strength, and survival. I did end up keeping the 5 stars for it because it really is an amazing book all throughout. Even with what I think is a somewhat weak ending, Furious Thing is a book I hope you'll read.
There are so many things to be considered, discussed, and rethink -- so many things to learn from Lexi's story, especially by first listening to her anger before we decide to condemn it.
