Such a well told story.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The TV show adaptation of this story (to me) seemed fairly close (not exact). It has been enough time between the viewing of the show and now reading the original story. I can see Welliver playing Bosch in my mind...and could see the book in my head (which is rare).
It also seems like the show did a really good job in casting, for all the major players seemed the same/similar in both stories. Obviously, the book has more details, but the idea of how well they transferred in the adaptation is impressive.
Love the pivot in the middle of the book. It is overdone, when you start an investigation to pick up ALL the clues from start to finish and get the desired result. This story wasn't that, and I appreciated that immensely.
I'm not Hercule Poirot, so I wouldn't have been able to solve this case, or any of them, but the experience of reading it...was a great time.
I look forward to picking up Angels Flight as soon as I can. Loving the author's writing style, and enjoy the characters in this story.
