Mafia romances tend to miss more so than hit, for my tastes. But the first part of this book was absolutely hitting-- I enjoyed it so much. Then part two arrived...with an amnesia plot line. I could have handled it were it like a few months disappearance and reappearance-- but 2 years?! It felt so unjust Natalya would miss two years of her son's life. I just found it quite off-putting and it was hard to reclaim the earlier positive feelings I had. I still overall enjoyed it, and it definitely was nowhere near a miss. But it also didn't finish a hit.
