The Twist of a Knife by Anthony Horowitz
3.0
I came to this as I had enjoyed Magpie Murders on TV and it did not disappoint. Very much a traditional mystery story with little blood and guts except for the original murder. The emphasis is on unravelling the intricate details of the case, complicated in this instance as the narrator himself is the main suspect. Little by little the evidence builds up, complete with a few red herrings to confuse both the reader and the narrator himself. The final twist is unexpected and provides a satisfactory resolution of the puzzle.
