Beautiful Sacrifice by Jamie McGuire

Why are the reviews really, really bad for this?!

I really loved these two! :( An absolute mess, all over the place.

Your typical Maddox boy, but then again, each of them are different.

“That is going to be one pissed off young man when he figures out what you’re doing.”

Leaving behind the life with her well off and overpowering parents, Falyn Fairchild has been living above the Bucksaw Café where she's been working since dropping out of college, in her small hometown in Colorado. After all that has happened, she's found a new family with the owners of the café but ultimately she hopes to travel to Eakins, Illinois to put herself at peace.

And when Taylor Dean Maddox walks into her café, she's found her ticket.

“I can’t stay away from you. That qualifies as need.”

Working as part of the Alpine Hotshot Crews, Taylor finds himself down in Colorado putting out the deadly fires spreading. He's your Maddox, hot as hell, arrogant along with his tattoos and damn persistent when he comes across Falyn. He's adamant to take her out but Falyn isn't going to fall for his charm and good looks. Hotshots are known to travel around wherever their work takes them and she knows better than to go all out. However, she has a plan to ease herself in to get to Eakins.

“You can’t pick and choose. It’s either fate, or it’s not.”

Aw! So I didn't expect much after seeing all the 1 and 2 star ratings but I guess I can't help the Maddox charm. At all. I still loved it and all the characters! I think at this stage for me, if it's got Maddox on it, I'm feeling it.

As I did here.

I found Taylor and Falyn SO CUTE, given the circumstances and all the incidents, because really, they were a mess!! Back and forth, and to me it wasn't annoying at all but the obstacles they overcame both personally and together, I thought it was so sweet!

AND THE EPILOGUE. :3 ohmygod I just skdhbskdvshkcs. I was so so happy!

“There is only one woman I've loved before you, and there will never be another after you.”

What I loved even more was that, throughout the series, we can link details from all of the books and the drama continues. Some might say predictable, but I thought it was pretty neat how we actually saw what happened from the other books, and the consequences it had in this installment.

“Oh, those Maddox boys,” Ellison said,”

ELLISON. I cannot wait for the next one. More Maddox, even if he's staring at a log for the whole thing.

So yeah, I was pretty happy with Taylor and Falyn <3
