Fake Shot by Julia Connors
fast-paced
4.5
Julia Connors never disappoints. This book has everything I love: a strong female lead, a caring (and hot) hockey goalie, fantastic side characters, realistic character flaws, and a SLOW burn.
I love anytime characters get thrown into a forced proximity situation and this did not disappoint. It was fun to watch these to navigate the shared space while trying to set boundaries. But it is also important to note that this book had more going on than great chemistry. Jules was still overcoming some trauma and it was very realistically portrayed and the way Colt handled it was beautiful. He was so supportive and caring and patient.
My favorite parts of this book were when she attended his games. I always love the dynamic when the girlfriend is there and Connors added some really fun outfits for Jules.
The tease for book 3 has me really excited for more in this series.
I received an advanced copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review.
