Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie
5.0
I think a lot of people already know the storyline so Iʼm gonna cut this short.
I love how the movie kept the originality of the story as much as they can because the similarity between the movie and the book is pretty much the same to me. Which I find very much pleasing, because often writers would change up the story a little bit for the sake of the movie which can only go two ways, either it is brilliant or it is ruined.
Other than that, I love how much more in depth the interrogations are in this book. How much details and precision in investigating the murder of Casetti. In comparison to the movie, I prefer the book better. It gives me more insight on every passengerʼs confessions during the interrogation. Though the ending is not as grand as the movie was, I still loved it. No one can match up to Hercule Poirotʼs brilliance. Not even New York detective, Cyrus Hardman.
My first Agatha Christie literature has left a positive impression on me and I look forward to collect more of her works in the future. A lot of people are already suggesting me to read “And Then There Were None”. I have heard nothing but great reviews of that literature and I definitely look forward to have my hands on a copy!
Along with Death on the Nile...
