This was really strange - deffo started out really funny and amusing and I was sort of concerned this was going to be a whimsical fantasy novel with no plot.  There wasn’t a whole lot of plot - but a lot of meaning was hidden behind it.  In a strange way it reminded me of Candide - with Kappas.  While I enjoyed the satirical elements, I wasn’t the hugest fan of the ending - it felt very rushed - but all in all this was an entertaining quick read.
