I think this book was a lot more serious in terms of character development. I love the wit and the banter that we've been seeing between everyone, but now that we've gotten down to the nitty gritty of everything, some of that has gone away. 

It was heartbreaking watching Lawrence try and win Clover over. 

To be really blunt here, I despise Camellia's character. She's entirely immature, and I hate that we spent so much time around her in this one. 

Overall, this one added a lot to the overall plot, but it didn't work as well for me as the other two in this series.
