A phenomenal story of a Maori man's service in World War I as told through his personal letters and later revelations discovered by his remaining family members. This can serve as a travel narrative, war narrative, discussion of warrior identity, etc. Absolutely recommend it. It was a quick, gripping read that I think should be widely shared.
